Renunciation, an expression of creativity - Part 1

As young children, we’re all creative. We draw, sing, build and dream. Yet somewhere along the way – due to the influence of others and own insecurities – many of us put down these creative instincts. This is what Tom and David Kelley told her parents.
Look, she is addicted to video games. she is in a bubble where no one can distract me. School misses her and she doesn't. She is aggressive and throws a tantrum when we try to stop her in her torment. Why did she stop to draw, sing, dance, dream? Why did she build a thick wall around me? Why does she refuse to reveal herself? Share her gift? The real I?
Beauty is innocent and easily shredded. So hide it and be nothing. That was her motto. ...

Because she believes that the revelation of the true self can be harmed by the influence of others, their jealousy, their agenda, their reflection, their unconscious Machiavellianism.

What did I learn from analysing my expenditure after a year

In the following blog post, I share the results of two analysis. The first one is an analysis of my spendings by categories after a year, the second is analysis of what I want to achieve by category. The analysis contribute to my main aim which is to achieve financial independence. I am currently trying to pay a debt - 12K for a student loan. To do the first analysis, I downloaded all the statements from my current account in an excel format. I assigned a category to each entry. What are the results? I  allocated 18% of my resources to my loan and the same amount to travel to France and have a couple of trip in the UK. I spent more money on conspicuous consumption than food. I did not have many outings that involved financial expenditure. What am I missing? I haven't got a good idea of what all the cash I have taken out was used for. A part of it must be to commute to work, then it is a mix of food shopping, outings, shopping and more outings. For the second analyy...

Slow Repair

Can the slow movement happens in manufacturing? Could it be the answer for supporting repair? I am wondering as I discuss with my colleagues 'SLOW' The slow movement advocates a cultural shift toward slowing down life's pace. You have probably heard of the slow food movement, slow fashion, slow design etc. It asked us to slow down and stop trying to reach the speed of light. As consumers struggle to repair ever changing small electrical products, may be it is time for manufacturers to slow down at least at the same rate or a bit faster than human development. The role of technology can aid to make human capabilities leap forward, yet become counterproductive when it loses behind the many people who are unable to learn to fix and manage their environment. So what is it to reckon? Is the Slow Good Movement possible?
