Reading Anna Wintour harsh advice for fashion students resonated with me (click here for full article). I have been working with Sandrine Nyota for now two months. Interestingly, the young designer follow unconsciously to the letter Anna Wintour advices and I think they are worth following: STARTING YOUR OWN LINE DOESN’T GUARANTEE SUCCESS Ultimately, this apply to anyone who want to start their own business. Although I will say, success can only be determined by the individual in the driving seat as success for some is different for others. It remains supporting other successes by working for another designer or company can be extremely rewarding as we learn the importance of having a team around us to achieve greater high. Responsibilities are Detachable so Start Cutting them off

Take a pen and paper. Breathe and Ask yourself. What are all the responsibilities am I holding at the moment? Write it all down. Pause Order them into categories Breathe Ask yourself, Do I have too many stuff Too many possessionss too many projects too many commitments... Time to detach yourself from most of them Some you may not be able too. Other may appear unimportant and non urgent. Some may take time to get rid of but yet appear as priorities. Tag them and Simplify. You will be better for it and a model for your peers to follow.

Clearing Space - Eugenie Bitty Arts

There is not a time when I speak to my mother that she does not say to me that she is tidying up and putting things together. It feels like a constant journey of messing and tidying. At the moment, she is creating a space within our home where she will work on her arts. This translates into moving things about across the house to create the space where she will strive. I am counting the weeks until she is able to do such work. On my side, I had confirmation that we have the possibility to exhibit her work in the UK and I am looking to get some print to display her wonderful work. I will ask for quotes withn the next week or so. My sister is currently unavailable to support at the moment. I look forward though for her to have a wake up call and realise how significant her role is in this enterprise. I am sure the universe will let her know soon.
